WNYPA Winter Storm Jonas Alert: Offices Closed - Saturday, Jan. 23rd & Street Parking Meter Enforcement Suspended

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard watch which is in effect from Saturday morning, January 23rd, through Sunday afternoon, January 24th. The forecast is calling for heavy snow along with strong and potentially damaging winds. Snow accumulation is expected to be between 8 to 12 inches, with wind gusts up to 50 mph and visibility near zero at times.

Due to the winter storm impeding transportation and travel, The West New York Parking Authority offices will be closed and meter parking enforcement on all streets is suspended for West New York residents on Saturday, January 23, 2016 and will reopen Monday, January 25, 2015, at 8 am weather permitting.

Please use extreme caution if you must travel. Remain off the roads if possible so that our first responders and public safety officials can safely respond to emergency situations. Please ensure parked vehicles are not within 15 feet of crosswalks and intersections so emergency vehicles are able to pass without difficulty in time of emergency fort he protection and welfare of all citizens.
